David Acker founded several medical device companies including “Biosense”, acquired by Johnson and Johnson, now “Biosense Webster, Inc.”. David holds 33 US Patents for medical devices in the field of minimally invasive surgery. David is the Vice Chairman of the Stony Brook Foundation managing the Stony Brook University endowment. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Gradian Health Systems, LLC and an International Advisory Board Member of the Turkana Basin Institute in Kenya. David established and owns Harmony Vineyards. David is a TECLens cofounder.
David received his ScD from Stony Brook University.
Pat Lopath has over 20 years of experience in medical device and pharmaceutical product development. He has a management consulting and operational leadership background in medical device and pharmaceutical companies. Pat is the holder of 17 US patents in medical technology. Pat is a TECLens cofounder.
Pat earned his BSE (Biomedical Engineering) and MBA from Duke University and an MS (Bioengineering) from Penn State.

Frances Chen has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and investment management. Frances worked extensively on M&A and capital market transactions, in both Asia and the U.S., for Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, with a focus on consumer, retail, and healthcare sectors. Most recently, she was a Managing Director based in New York for Fosun Group’s private equity fund, focused on investing in consumer and healthcare sectors in the U.S.
Frances earned a BS in Finance from University of Bridgeport and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
